Nov. 28th, 2008 @ 11:21 am Hey there.

Hey there. Zoe is starting to sleep more like a normal baby, and starting to have a pattern. So I may be able to have some time to myself. She is sitting in the bouncer on the floor right now.
Its amazing how quickly she is learning and changing. Looking into her eyes and trying to read what she is thinking is very strange. I will write more about that when i have more time, probably when i go back to work in January. I am actually looking forward to going back to work. She is already attached to me and its going to be hard being away from her for 8 hours a day, but it has to be done. I need to get back into me things.
I got to see Twilight twice! Once with Brent and once when my mom and grandmother came over unexpectantly and took Zoe for the afternoon. My mom has been really great. She is all excited about babysitting (hopefully that lasts) :) I will write a review of the movie at some point as well.

I hate to say it but if I didnt read the books, the True Blood series would have almost lost my interest by now. Its moving soooooo slooooowly. They really should move the plot along.

Or it could be just because Eric was not in the last episode.

SO i have a real baby sitting in here at this point, 37 weeks. I was just telling someone at work that they lie to us when they say 9 months. Its really 10 months. and they are jerks and liars. :)

Sep. 29th, 2008 @ 10:05 am Eric on TV!

Thoughts on True Blood last night - Spoilers if you havent seen it yet.

Bill and Sookie went to Fangtasia for all the wrong reasons. (In the book Bill took Sookie there specifically to meet Eric and ask him for protection) Bill isnt showing Eric the respect he did in the book which is annoying. He is treating Eric like he hates him and is scared of him. The scared part is true but he thought more of him in the book. I dont like Bill in the series at all so that doesnt really matter.

Pam is very badass. She is wittier and makes more clever comments at Sookie in the book. Although they still have time to build her charecter for that. She looks right and they kept the lesbian thing so thats good.

Eric looked great, he acted almost perfect. He was more scarey and threatening than intellegant though. They still have time to change that and develope his charecter. In the book he was a tiny bit more friendly while still acting like the boss.

It was very cool seeing him on TV.

Brent says noone else keeps a list of their favorite vampires. I disagree. This is my list, post your list or if you agree with mine or not. :)

Top 10 favorite Vampires:

1. Eric Northman (Sookie Sackhouse Vampire Series, True Blood)
- He is totally hot, very badass, he doesnt make excuses for what he is, says whatever he feels like it, and he is very loyal.

2. Spike  (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)
- HOT! I loved him without a soul and even more with a soul. You gotta feel bad for the way he was treated when he was human.

3. Lestat (Anne Rice Vampire Chronicles)
- He is a lot like Eric (or Eric is like him rather, Lestat is older and could kick his ass).

4. Angel (Buffy The Vampire Slayer)
- Angel is loyal and badass when he wants to be. He is sometimes bordering on whiney bitch, but i love him anyway.

5. Edward Cullen (Twilight)
- If the books were written from Edwards perspective they would have been a lot cooler.

6. Drusilla (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)
- I just love the charecter, she is crazy and kickass.

7. Darla (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)
- Badass

8. Jasper Cullen (Twilight)
- Jasper is really cute and nice, he can alter emotions and has a really interesting story of how he became a vampire.

9. Dracula (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)
- The best Dracula charecter, I loved how they wrote him, and he was hot. :P

10. Armond (Anne Rice Vampire Chronicles)
- Armond was a badass, and the movie cast him all wrong. He was a teenager, and he has a great story as well.

Noticably left out :

- Louis from Anne Rice Vampire Chronicles - because I think he is a whiney little bitch.
- Bill from Sookie Sackhouse Vampire Series, True Blood - because I think he is a whiney little bitch. (and wasnt cast well in the show)
- Angelus from Buffy - because i like the nice side better, Angelus was just mean.

OMG I just found a picture of Eric and Pam (his second in command) :

I cant wait, they better not screw him up. They got the hottness right! Its neat reading the last book having an actual picture of what he looks like in my head. Pam should be younger because she is supposed to be a teenager, but thats ok. She is a badass also.

I really love the Charlaine Harris Vampire series - Sookie Sackhouse Vampire series. I am on the final book now. Brent thinks I am crazy for reading them that fast, but it really got my mind off of the various pains and problems going on right now.

I still love Twilight for what it is, a romance with teenagers who dont have a care in the world. But this series is more realistic. In some ways I like that more because I can relate more. These vampires do not make excuses for themselves, they are who they are. The world has to deal with the fact that vampires are real and they are out in the open. The main charecter Sookie is very strong and does not need a man. She is her own person and noone tells her what to do. She has to continue to live her life and go to work and pay the bills, even though she has had relationships with really rich vampires, she never takes any money from them. And she doesnt want to become a vampire.

My favorite charecter is Eric. He is so much like Lestat. He is smart and strong, it took him a long time to actually admit he loves a human. It took Sookie a long time to admit she actually likes Eric. They kinda tortured eachother for a while. I really want them to end up together.

The show is pretty good. They changed some charecters and focused on different things. But its basically following the plot of the book. I really dont like Bill anymore. He is boring compared to Eric. Eric is played by the same actor who was in Generation Kill. He played Sgt Brad (Iceman). He is hot!

He should be appearing in the next episode. (#4) He is the Sherrif of Area 5 in Louisiana. So he is a bad ass.
Bill is a dork, i really dont like the charecter playing him on the show. He is not attractive at all. He looks like an old guy. Not very romantic vampirey like.

Aug. 29th, 2008 @ 01:43 pm Stolen idea?
I dont know what to think about this. I finished the Charlaine Harris book, Dead Until Dark. And it was very good, I really loved it.

But.......the charecters and their stories are EXACTLY the same as in Twilight. Some things are moved around but the dynamic is the same and the IDEA is the same. The writting is better and the plot is better in some ways.
It just really annoys me to think that Stephanie Meyer could have ripped the idea off. She made it her own but its just messed up. There is no denying the similarities.

What are the odds that I read the book that she ripped off. Of all the vampire books out there :P

Well there are 8 more in the series, I am excited to read them all. Hopefully nothing more is stolen. I still loved Twilight, and so far enjoyed that more, but this series is more adult and I do like that more. I am excited about the series now. Its going to be very good if they stick to the book. There is one REALLY crazy sex scene in the book. Why is vampire sex so much better? :)

So I am torn about Breaking Dawn, (the book i was soo looking forward to) I liked it and I didnt like it.

She wrote it the way I wanted her to, the way she wanted to and not to please the fans. Although I dont think it fits with the rest of the series. This is NOT a young adult novel, this is very adult and really not for anyone under 18. She didnt even concider the yound adult audience. And for that reason I think she may have alienated half of her fan base. All young people will hate this book and all adults will like it.

I liked it because I am a sucker for the empowered female charecter. So I loved how everything turned out in the end. And I loved the ending and how the final battle went. It was very strategic, much like a D&D game or RPG would pan out. Both sides gathering their weapons and planning the offense and defense. Also very realistic the way it panned out. (A lot of the reviews I have read hated the way it ended up, but it was the only way that would make any sense to me).

There is one huge part which I completely hated. She broke one of her own rules and wrote in an event which was thought to be impossible. And I think she did it because she couldnt think of anything better to do. which was a cop out. She could have thought of a better way. And I cant belive that was her plan the whole time.

I do think its a huge stress to have  millions of people waiting to see what happens and having to write a story knowing it will be harshly criticized. I have to stop reading the reviews because so many people hate it for all sorts of stupid reasons.

I think i like it more than i hate it. Just one part that i thought was stupid and unnecessary shouldnt ruin the whole thing for me. It just sucks to end it with all these people being upset. Hopefully the story isnt over. and next time she should not publish it as a yound adult book.

Jul. 30th, 2008 @ 02:37 pm Anticipation is distracting me!

I am so excited about this weekend! Not for the torture which I will endure at the baby shower with people I dont know. Because that will suck and I am dreading it.

"Breaking Dawn"  is coming out!

I cant wait! Sooooo excited.
Tina - you HAVE to read this series eventually, you WILL fall in love just like i did.
Sean and Dave - Brent says that he will grow a vagina if he reads it, so you guys would probably agree with that one heheheh. Although you like Vampires as much as I do Dave so i dunno. Brent did buy the book on tape in attempt to see what i was talking about, but he got through 3 chapters and declared he didnt want a vagina. It was pretty funny.

I cant believe i am really going to finally find out what happenes in the end. The last book was left with such a cliff hanger it was painfull! I have been trying to figure out what will happen. There are only a few posibilites of what the author will do with the story. Unfortunately this is a "young adult" book, so she is limted in some ways which i really wish she wasnt. Its crazy that the author has so many people watching what she does next with these charecters, that is some power.

If you guys are not going to read it at all I will tell you my predictions, but i dont want to give anything away. It would just be a shame to give away anything to someone who hasnt read the first 3 books. (this is the 4th).

Unfortunately back from Vegas, it was fun. Not the best place for me right now but not having to go to work is what matters. I ended up not looseing any money! I kept winning at craps and didnt loose much at caribean stud. So it worked out.
We saw Batman at the imax theater. That was awsome! Really good movie, I hope it breaks all the records!

Saturday was the travelling day. It was the worst day ever! It started with me getting up in the morning at 9:00 and deciding to go get some breakfast. Then something that i thought only happened to people on tv happened.
I get in the elevator with one other person and it got stuck! So i am 6 months pregnant, hungry, thirsty and have to pee while being stuck in a very hot and small elevator. At least the guy who was stuck with me was really nice.
The jerks at the hotel called Brent in the room and told him that i had only been in there for 2 min and will be out in a coupld of min. So he thought nothing of it and went to take a shower. I called him with the elevator phone and the first thing he says to me is "oh cool now you can have the baby in the elevator like they do on tv". I didnt like that. He didnt know i was stuck there for 20 minutes at that point. So i told him and told him that they told us it would be at least 45 min before the tech even gets to the hotel to work on it. So he freaked out on the hotel manager and make them realize thats not good.

So long story short, i was in there for 1 hour and 45 minutes before we got out. Really really sucked.
They gave us some money towards the hotel bill, not much though, and a car to the airport. I was worried we would miss the flight. I just wanted to get out of there.

Then the flight sucked as usuall. And we get back to the car at 1:00 AM to see that the car has a flat tire. We fix that and finally get home at 3:00AM.

Shitty last day of vacation.

I am going on vacation on July 19th and I am such a dumb ass for not scheduling the vacation for after August 2nd when Breaking Dawn comes out. I am so excited to read it. But this vacation will suck if i have nothing to read and just spend the whole time anticipating the new book.

So I need recommendations please. Any really exciting sci fi book or romance/sci fi type. That keeps my attention the most right now. Thanks!

We are going to Las Vegas and I cant drink of course. So I may win or loose more money because of that. Not sure, but i definately need a good book to read.

Hi! I had a very exciting night last night. The company my sister works for is a contributor to the Robin Hood Foundation in NYC. So they had a benefit concert last night which Pearl Jam headlined at the Beacon Theater. My sister took me as her date :) We had awsome seats! I actually could see Eddie Vedder's facial features :P
They played for over 2 hours with no opening band, and his wife and daughter were on the side of the stage dancing, it was so cute!.
I unfortuntely got really really tired so I had to leave. Remy was dancing around and i kept thinking I was damaging his ear drums by going to a concert. Also I was thinking a benefit concert would not be the type of place a pot smoker would go to, but i was wrong, I had to move because the jerk behind me was smoking. Normally I would be fine with it, but I really dont want to hurt the poor baby because of some jerk at a concert. I got to stand in the first row for a while though so that was cool. We were on the first balcony 2nd row.

Pics and more

They played songs that i have never heard them play live. A really cool version of Masters of War, they rocked out to it. I took a video with my camera, I got about 1 min of it. And they played Police Man, they never play that. I got the cool part of that song ("Jesus greets me, looks just like me"). Eddie spend more time than ususal talking to the crowd also.

I cant get the video to work on this journal, if you go over to the Photo Journal up at the top here, it will bring you over to the AOL photojournal. That is where I upload my pics which i link here. since that gets paid for and this doesnt.

The video came out pretty cool. I just wish I had more space on the camera so i could have recorded the whole song.

(Edit - yeah i know the song really isnt called "Police Man" and is called WMA, but i reject that name. Its stupid. I had a bootleg tape a year before the album came out, and it was called police man, so i like that better.)

Hey! I am all moved! It feel so good to be home finally.  I am living in Danbury CT, and even though its technically another state, everyone who has lived in Carmel knows its not really another state. :P just a 5 minute drive towards the mall.
Of course we are not done unpacking and all that, but I have to get back to work tomorrow. I am stealing internet access from someone near us right now. Its funny how people will change the name of the wireless connection yet not encrypt it. strange.

So I am looking forward to actually going to work and coming home to my doggies and Brent. Time to relax and focus on making a baby room and all that fun stuff.

Watching the new "Twilight" movie clip inspired me to read the book again. I cant believe how much I am enjoying it even knowing whats going to happen. I recommend these books to anyone who wants to escape reality and fall in love with fictional vampires! Its is just so easy to love the main character.

I should not be watching these clips but I cant help it! Its going to be  good movie, but its always scarey to see the movie adaptation to a book you love. They could screw it up.

The first clip on the movie:
Twilight

A new behind the scenes on the movie:
